I adore the peach season! Fresh peaches are among those fruits that lose their appeal when they aren’t in season. We often enjoy them in abundance! A delicious peach cobbler is another excellent way to indulge in this summer delight.
Simple Peach Cobbler Recipe
The peach season sparks creativity in our kitchen, leading to this quick and easy peach cobbler that takes just ten minutes! It’s ideal with fresh (not canned) peaches and tastes amazing. Plus, it’s easy to make a single serving, healthier, grain-free, and naturally sweetened.
I appreciate how this peach cobbler is buttery without being overly sweet, unlike some other recipes. We usually pair it with homemade whipped cream, but a scoop of vanilla ice cream would be fantastic as well. Consider adding walnuts or pecans for extra crunch. It might just be the best peach cobbler I’ve ever had!
A heads-up: this differs from the typical southern or old-fashioned peach cobbler recipes, which often use brown sugar and all-purpose flour for a golden topping. In my version, no baking dish is required! It captures all the flavors in a simplified way.
Alternative Filling Options
This recipe is best with fresh peaches (not canned ones). You might be able to use thawed and drained frozen peaches, but I haven’t tried it.
If peaches aren’t available, you can substitute with other fruits. Raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries work well too. Alternatively, make a berry crisp. Soft fruits like pears can also be used. Apples, being firmer, may not be suitable, but if you want apple cobbler, try this alternative recipe.
A side note on the cream: I whipped up some homemade whipped cream using heavy cream and a bit of stevia. I used the same chopper blade from my immersion blender (the one I grind coffee with) and didn’t rinse out the coffee. Astonishingly, it was fantastic! I suggest adding a tiny pinch of ground coffee to homemade whipped cream—although not necessarily with peaches.
